Our Story
15th September 2018
JP and Alicia met through an online dating platform, and had their first date at Banana Jam Café in Kenilworth. Much to their surprise, they found out that they lived less than 2km from each other, and that they shared a love for games, science, and philosophy! JP volunteered to join for a dog walk, and he hasn’t quite managed to escape from the daily dog walks since.
They moved in together about 18 months later, and after another 18 months, they adopted a new dog (Peggy). On 15 September 2018, they took Peggy for a walk in Newlands Forest. Despite Alicia’s expertise in eyewitness memory and human observation of everyday events, she was completely oblivious to the bottle of champagne and two champagne glasses that JP had awkwardly stuffed up his shirt. After finding a beautiful vantage point along the route, JP popped the question… and Alicia agreed!. Now, the next adventure begins!

The ceremony and reception will take place at Allesverloren Wine Estate, which is between Riebeek-Kasteel and Riebeek-West.
There is ample parking on site, and the venue will have a cash bar.
Although we love your children we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers.
